TICKET
PRICES

Ticket prices are not set by Ticketmaster. Our event partners (artists, music promoters, sports clubs, theatre producers and so on) set ticket prices that make the most sense for them.

When it comes to music, most artists rely on live performances for income, as they earn little from recording. Touring costs have risen significantly, and ticket prices help pay everyone involved.

Ticketmaster does not take anything from the ticket price, only a portion of the added fees.

Prices will vary across a venue. Seats closer to the front, along with General Admission tickets, tend to be more popular so are usually priced higher than those towards the back.

Ticketmaster does not use surge pricing or dynamic algorithms to adjust ticket prices. Ticket price ranges are set by our event partners before tickets go on sale. They may review prices at key points between the initial sale and the event date, but any changes – which are usually reductions – are made by the event team, not an algorithm.
